SOME WORDS OF CAUTION FOR BIKE RIDERS

Students who ride their bicycles to McCracken should watch for sudden opening of car doors, cars pulling out of driveways, and bushes or other objects that may obstruct a driver's vision.

The Village of Skokie requires helmets for anyone under the age of 16. Here's a source for
more information on bicycle safety.

Students who ride their bicycles to McCracken School are expected to:

* Ride with the traffic and obey all traffic rules, including wearing a helmet
* Walk their bikes on school grounds
* Secure their bikes with a lock and chain on the bike racks in the back of the building.

McCracken students who skateboard or rollerblade to school are expected to:

* Obey all traffic rules and Rules of the Road
* Remove their rollerblades and carry their skateboards on school grounds
* Store the rollerblades and skateboards in their lockers.

There is absolutely no skateboarding or rollerblading allowed on school property.

HOME LOGIC

Dear McCracken Families,

Welcome to HomeLogic, a wonderful technological tool used for communicating grades and achievement at McCracken Middle School. Through this online, web-based program, you can now access your child’s grades from home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Teachers at McCracken update their grades every week, so you should have updated information in a consistent, timely manner.

As we are now in our second full year of use of HomeLogic, you should feel comfortable accessing the program to get a frequent update on the progress of your child(ren) and their grades. As always, if you have questions about a class or a grade, I ask you to contact the teacher first; teachers are here to help and always welcome your call.

Should you have any questions on navigation, please call 847.676.8208 for assistance.

Best -

Jason Smith
Principal, McCracken School

For those of you who have students at Middleton or Meyer as well, you may see their names appearing in HomeLogic. Currently only McCracken will be reporting data through this system.
